Our approach
Run over four weeks, lessons are delivered face-to-face, live online and through self-paced modules. You have time to learn, reflect and apply while juggling your busy career and life. Every week your coaching clinic gives you access directly to your industry leader who will help you problem solve, navigate and overcome your challenges and hurdles. You will have homework! These exercises are not onerous but will embed your learning and give you the opportunity to practice, reflect and refine so that tips and tricks work for you, in your job!
You will learn to:
• Understand the different types of consultants • Identify your own strengths and style • Learn the basics to help you fit in, negotiate, manage and delegate • Manage a project from winning proposals, negotiating variations and managing budgets to scheduling tasks and deliverables • Excel in client relationships, expectations and how to create great clients • Work in teams, across teams and within teams drawn from different organisations •Master conflict resolution, letting go of perfectionism and getting and staying organised.
Coaching, assessment and homework
Every week your online coaching clinic will help you embed your learning, answer any questions and problem-solve. These sessions are entirely open for you to make the best of the course content, the expertise of your coach and the experience of your peers. There are four assignments, two are due in Week 2 and two in Week 4. You will need to present or discuss your work during a live online session or at the final face-to-face. Assessment will be based on your satisfactory completion of all assignments and demonstration of you understanding the concepts.
Consulting 101 is skills-based, workplace training that sticks
Adult learning demands that you learn the concepts and have the opportunity to apply, practice and reflect in order for those skills to be embedded in your practice. Our course provides you with flexibility and the time to learn, reinforced by short homework assignments. Your weekly coaching clinic provides you the opportunity for tailored advice, support, coaching and mentoring during the course.

Meet Lucy!
I am Lucy and so happy to work with you as you embark on your career! I have been a successful consultant for 30 years and run my own consultancy business, so I know this industry inside and out. In addition, I mentor many consultant business owners and young consultants so I get your world, the world of consulting and what you need to help you navigate it successfully. I am a qualified trainer and have a passion for working with people so I can't wait to share your journey with you!
